All about the Mixed hiking in the Tatra Mountains and Slovak Paradise Tour.

We would like to invite you to an adventure in the High Tatras – the most famous and most stunning mountains of Slovakia. If you join this trip, we will visit our most favourite places.

This trip is intended for solo travellers, couples and small groups and everybody who likes hiking and being outdoors. The group will consist of maximum 16 participants.  You can fly to our meeting point at Krakow Airport from many European cities (London, Dublin, Brussels, Berlin, Munich, Dortmund, Amsterdam etc), where you will be met at 16:00 on the first day and dropped off on the last day at 12:00.

The hikes that we are going to walk on this trip will be of medium difficulty. Everyday we will walk approx. 18 km with the total vertical ascent of 1000 metres. Some of the hikes involves short part of scrambling, so previous experience with scrambling is welcomed. The hiking trails in the High Tatras are pretty rocky, therefore a good pair of hiking boots with ankle support is a must.

To learn more about the trip, look at FAQs or contact us directly via email.

The Tatra Mountains is the smallest mountain range with the alpine character in the world. Even though 26 peaks are higher than 2 500 metres (8 200 ft) and it offers almost everything, as for example the well-known Alps, except the glaciers. They melted away thousands of years ago (and that´s why the peaks are so sharp nowadays). 🙂

If you would like to explore it, don´t hesitate and join us on this trip. We will lead you in the mountains and show you the best places you can visit there. You will walk along the streams, through the dwarf pines, under the 2500 m high peaks, you will enjoy the lunch on the shore of the lakes and hopefully observe the wildlife such as chamoix or marmots.

On one of the days you will visit also the Slovak Paradise National Park to see and explore a different environment. Hiking in this park is all about climbing ladders, walking on catwalks and bridges past waterfalls and lush vegetation in the park’s remarkable gorges.

Popular activity among Slovaks is going to the thermal pool, so we shouldn´t skip this when you´re here. There is a good thermal pool with geothermal water close to the High Tatras. It´s really relaxing after long hikes in the mountains. We can visit the pool after the hike in the evening, so don´t forget to pack the swimwear.

A really wonderful holiday hiking in the High Tatras in Slovakia in mid August 2017. The trip explored some of the many cultural, geographical and scenic delights that Slovakia has to offer, and was expertly organised and led by Martin. Highly recommended to anybody looking for a holiday away from the ordinary in a truly wonderful country!

I strongly recommend to Slovakation and Martin as your guide in the High Tatras. The all experience was great, accommodation was excellent and so do the restaurant. Martin was wishely adapting the level of difficulty of the hikes to the participants and was also flexible to adapt the activities and entertainment weather wise. We enjoy the spa at the hotel but also the group tried the Beer Spa, visit an ancient cave nearby, tried some lovely local restaurants and pubs and even we recreate a local weding with handmade customes from last century in our visit to a museum. Definetly Martin has makes us love his lovely country so much and that is the most important achivement in my opinion. I would love to visit Slovakia again and definetly I will do it soon :D

Martin was our guide for six days in the High Tatras. He took us to excellent hiking spots, found fun things for us to do during a rain day, and was a real pleasure to work with throughout. Highly recommend visiting this beautiful region and having Martin as your guide.

I had an amazing time trekking in beautiful Slovakia. Martin is a lovely, knowledgeable guide, and I highly recommend him to anyone planning a trip there. In terms of the hikes, Martin tailor-makes the itinerary of the days very well to keep the group happy- and there are plenty of places around the High Tatras for great views to make it all worth it. As for the accommodation, the place is quite tidy and the rooms are spacious. Plus, there is a spa! Thanks for everything, Martin! Definitely looking forward to coming back during autumn sometime.
