I thoroughly loved my time in Slovak Paradise national park; Martin our guide was very knowledgeable and fun to be around. He went at a good pace and I didn’t feel as if we were rushed through, we had the chance to take photos and breaks to rest. I was slightly injured on my last days of the hike, Martin made sure I was doing ok and changed one of the routes so that I didn’t have to miss out on the hike. Thankfully I had a good group so they didn’t mind the change in itinerary. Martin made the trip very enjoyable and I would 100% recommend this trip with him, you won’t be disappointed!

Thoroughly enjoyed the hikes in Slovak Paradise National Park with Martin over the past long weekend. Martin is passionate about nature and the mountains in Slovakia, and just a fun and nice person to trek with in general. The group size was perfect (max 8 ppl), trip plan was thoughtful and flexible, and we got great weather all 3 days. As this was described as a strenuous tour with some hiking experience required, I was also lucky to have some like-minded and well-travelled companions in the group. Martin was extra nice to pick me up in Krakow city center, as I arrived in Krakow 2 days before the tour for some sightseeing in the city. We were also staying in a nice hotel in a UNESCO world heritage town, so there is even more to see after the hikes. I would definitely recommend Martin to anyone and I’m looking forward to do some skiing trips or a hike to the beautiful Tatra mountains with Martin in the future!

I’ve just returned from a bank holiday weekend spent exploring Slovak Paradise National Park with seven others. Martin was an absolutely fantastic tour guide, really knowledgeable, friendly and funny, and ensured we really got the most out of our time in Slovakia. Not only was he great during the hikes, he took us to some extra viewpoints as we had a little extra time!
I would fully recommend this whole experience – the days are happily packed with challenging trekking, visits to thermal pools and evenings out in a lovely town, all overseen by a professional and experienced tour guide. Thank you Martin!

I travelled with 7 others to tour Slovakia and in particular the Slovak National Paradise Park. Martin, who runs Slovakation, is Slovakian himself but speaks English exceptionally well. He created a trip, which ensured we made the most of the time we had there, and that we did. He is welcoming, knowledgable, a good laugh and clearly knows his way round Slovakia and its history. He arranged the accommodation, the transfers, planned our days in the park so well (which we all loved), he made recommendations for dining out (the food is fab) and took us to a remote location for lunch overlooking stunning views we would never have found ourselves. The park itself was like an adult playground with stepping stones, vertical and horizontal ladders, waterfalls, beautiful gorges, all amongst a forest setting. There are so many routes to choose from and he chose well. It was such a lovely place. I honestly couldn’t recommend him and his trips enough. I will definitely be returning to Slovakia and wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip with him
