During this private day tour, you will visit one of the most visited and most beautiful castles not only in Slovakia, but also in central Europe. It´s called Bojnický zámok castle and is located in a small spa town Bojnice. Some say it is also one of the most romantic castles in Europe.
After a tour at the castle you will stop for a lunch break after a 30 min drive to a mountainous area. You can either have a lunch in a unique Slovak restaurant or simply enjoy your packed lunch and walk around the place, which is situated in a beautiful setting 800m asl.
After the lunch break you will drive through picturesque countryside to the village of Čičmany. This village is different than the other villages in Slovakia, because of the decorated houses. The old original houses are still painted with various ornaments and these ornaments are even part of the UNESCO Intangible World Heritage.

Day Tours are intended for visitors of the north-west Slovakia, e.g. the towns of Žilina, Trenčín, Piešťany and surroundings. Are you on a business trip? Visiting a spa resort or backpacking in Slovakia? Then this trip is right for you. We will pick you up in your hotel and drop you off back.
Extra fee for pick up and drop off in Piestany is 20 EUR/car.

HOW TO JOIN FROM BRATISLAVA??
Get on the train R603 at 7:55 from Bratislava and get off the train in the town of Trenčin at 9:20. The train goes in direction Kosice. We will meet you at the train station. It´s just 85 minutes ride through Slovakia on a train and it´s fairly easy to find the right train.

You should book the tickets back to Bratislava after 16:00 or later and you can also walk through the historical center of Trenčin.

Itinerary
Tour Plan
We will meet in the morning at 9:00 in Trenčin, Žilina or Piestany.
We will visit the Bojnice castle first and will stop for a lunch break after a 30 min drive to a mountainous area. You can either have a lunch in a unique Slovak restaurant or simply enjoy your packed lunch and walk around the place, which is situated 800m asl.
After lunch break we will drive through a picturesque country side to the village of Čičmany and finally back to the pick-up place or other place upon your request. You will be back at around 15-16:00.
